Solar panels or photovoltaic modules as they are correctly named

should not be confused with solar water heating, which heats water which is then stored in an insulated storage tank.

so electricity storage is an important issue, in order to provide the continuous availability of energy.

Our recommendation which is the most cost efficient option an option that is widely used around the world is to opt for a grid tie system. During the daylight hours the array of solar panels will generate and provide electricity directly to your home electrical grid via a grid tie inverter.

During the daylight hours depending on the number of panels installed the time of day and the amount of sunlight your solar panels will generate varying amounts of electricity which will be fed into your home power grid by the grid tie inverter.

Depending on the amount of electricity being generated by your solar panels and the amount of power being used by your appliances, you will either need additional electricity from the national grid to meet your demand, or your solar panels will be producing more power that your home consumption requires in which case it will feed the excess electricity that is being generated back into the national grid which will turn the electricity meter backwards to be available when your solar panels are not generating sufficient power to satisfy your power needs. This method effectively uses the national grid as a storage facility at no cost to you.

The electricity stored in this manner can then be used during the night time hours or when your home demand exceeds the amount of electricity that your solar panels are generating.

Only once the stored electricity has been used up and the electricity meter has returned to it's original reading does one start paying for electricity which is coming from the national grid. Therefore if your electricity usage for the month is 1000kwh and you are producing 800kwh per month of your own electricity your electricity bill will be for the remaining 200kwh. Just plain simple arithmetic.

Grid Tie Inverters are relatively inexpensive to purchase and are easy to install.

If one chooses to go completely off of the national grid this is also possible but very much more expensive to install because all the electricity used in excess of the electricity that is being produced by your solar panels at any one time during the daylight hours and all of the power that is to be used at night will need to be stored in very expensive batteries that have a relatively short lifespan

The Solar Panel modules are manufactured with 3 bus bar mono-crystalline silicon cells with a module output at an impressive average of between 16.0% to 17.0%.

The modules (Mono Standard or Mono Black) are stylishly framed within a corrosion resistant aluminium frame (natural/silver or black) or in the case of the ART Ilanga series, frameless (glass-on-glass) that offers protection from wind loads of up to 2400Pa and dynamic and static loads of up to 5400Pa. It also offers stability and reliability of the module not to mention in its durability (life expectancy).
 
Once manufactured at each module undergoes a sun simulation test which assigns its individual power outage class (230wp -  245Wp).
The Mono Standard and Mono Black ranges weigh 21kgs and measure 1633 x 997 x 41mm in size.

The Ilanga range weighs 30kgs and measures 1633 x 997 x 7mm in size

All modules hold TÜV Rheinland verified certification including;  IEC61215 and IEC61730.”
